PPI Consulting and Training Services
Churches sometimes call on outside resources to
facilitate discussions or solve problems. Five of our counselors have
chosen to make themselves available to parishes for consultation and
training. They work either individually or in pairs. They are equipped to
help pastors, pastoral staff, and church communities with interpersonal
skills and problem solving. Our experienced counselors integrate
spirituality with psychology, which can effectively support parish staff
and congregations in developing an understanding of themselves and their
ministry.
PPI counselors can effectively facilitate team
meetings, staff retreats, congregation events and workshops. They also can
help with supervision, support groups, and training of facilitators for
small groups.
These five counselors are experienced educators and
communicators in:
-
Vision building
Developing new life and spirit in staff team, program and
individuals.
-
Transition and Change
Encouraging creative expansion of options, perspective, acceptance
and initiative.
-
Grief and Loss
Recognizing and feeling what is lost, enabling people to find
resources to move forward in health.
-
Effective Communication
Coming to a better understanding of one another. Developing more
accurate and authentic expression. Encouraging healthy
boundary-setting. Building stronger bonds with colleagues.
-
Conflict Management and Resolution
Eliminating blocks to effective team work. Addressing resentment.
Gaining understanding and freedom within conflict.
All of our programs include pertinent information,
hands-on-experience, full participation of all recipients and support for
change, as well as opportunity for self-reflection, celebration, gratitude
and prayer.
